MICHELIN inflatable lab
An all-terrain inflatable cleanroom dedicated to emergency, health and industrial professionals.
It enables indoor or outdoor medical emergency operations, patient containment or equipment protection to be carried out in complete safety, while maintaining control over the purity of the surrounding air.
Genesis of the MICHELIN Inflatable Lab
Orano and MICHELIN, through its subsidiary AirCaptif, have pooled their technical expertise and co-developed an inflatable clean room to protect patients and healthcare staff, designed to remedy the saturation of hospitals in the context of the health emergency caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The inflatable cleanroom is marketed by MICHELIN under the name MICHELIN Inflatable Lab.
An inflatable multi-sector cleanroom
The MICHELIN Inflatable Lab meets the needs of doctors, emergency workers, soldiers, firefighters and NGOs to protect patients, healthcare staff and equipment by minimising the risk of air contamination. It can also be used in the food industry, aeronautics and cosmetics sector.

The manufacture of the MICHELIN Inflatable Lab draws on the innovation and expertise of Michelin's manufacturing teams.
The cleanroom adapts very quickly to its environment at a reduced cost. It is modular and reusable.
The air handling unit
Thanks to its air handling unit (AHU), MICHELIN lnflatable Lab guarantees the protection of patients, healthcare staff and equipment.
Equipment:
Used outdoors, MICHELIN lnflatable Lab will ensure the continuity of care activities or equipment storage in complete safety.
Used indoors, MICHELIN lnflatable Lab will ensure containment of people or critical industrial activities.
MICHELIN lnflatable Lab is compatible with AHUs with flow rates ranging from 300 to 2000 m3/h. The characteristics will be determined on the basis of your specifications:
