Michelin AirSurgery, an inflatable solution designed for operating rooms
The MICHELIN AirSurgery range is a set of inflatable modules that allow patient positioning in supine and lateral positions during surgical interventions.
These medical devices provide optimal access to the area undurgoing surgery while improving patient comfort.
The MICHELIN AirSurgery range is comprised of three modules: Supine Position, Lateral Position, Side Head Position.
Supine Position module
The Supine Position unit allows the patient to be positioned on his/her back, with the shoulders tilting backwards while maintaining the back support in place.
It allows optimum access to the chest area with alignment of the sternum at the same time as providing greater patient comfort.
The use of this unit is in no way a substitute for positioning or protection units for other parts of the body (heels, pelvis, arms, etc.).
Lateral Position Module
The Lateral Position unit allows the patient to be positioned on his/her side by placing the unit at the armpit level.
It prodives an optimum access to the lateral chest area with separation of the sides while improving patient comfort.
Use of this unit does not replace the use of positioning or protection units for other parts of the body (heels, pelvis, arms, etc.) nor the use of wedges to ensure the patient’s stability.
SIDE HEAD Module
The Side Head module allows the patient’s head to be positioned on the right or left side (reversibility) during lateral or ventral positioning and improves patient comfort.
It allows the patient’s head to be supported and maintains body alignment.
